Editorial board

The people who stand behind the record.

Every manuscript is handled by an editor who publishes in the same area, supported by an advisory board drawn from across our sections. Here is who they are and what they commit to.

The editors who read your manuscript.

Our editors handle submissions in their own areas of expertise and declare conflicts of interest before any manuscript is assigned. Click any profile to view full qualifications and research.

Three standing commitments.

  • Subject-matched handling

An editor only takes a manuscript in an area they publish in themselves. If nobody on the board fits, we recruit a guest editor rather than guess.

  • Declared interests

Editors record competing interests before assignment, and step aside from anything involving a co-author, a colleague or a funder of their own.

  • Reviewers who are credited

Reviewers stay anonymous to authors, but their contribution is recorded with Crossref so the work counts toward their record.

We are always short of good reviewers.

If you hold a doctorate and publish in one of our sections, we would like to hear from you. Reviewers choose their own subject keywords and set how many manuscripts a year they are willing to take.

Write to editor@aljabir.org with a short note on your area and a link to your publication record, or register directly on the journal portal.
